Was a very busy day in Edinburgh with a rugby match. Camera Obscuras booking system prevented it from being too bust so it was a great, relaxing experience. Will definitely be back in the future 👍

Camera Obscura, good knowledge of the history mirror camera. Plenty to see and do, all interactive. Could spend a few hours here but disability access may be tricky as it is 6 story building up stairs as you travel around the facilities.

We took our kids here today and they all loved it. The ticket was good for the whole day so we even went back later in the day! The show on the top floor was hilarious and made our day! So much fun for families!

Because there is no lift this isn't suitable for many with mobility issues. They recommend you climb all the way up to the very top where the camera obscura is and you can also look out over the city. You then work your way down and each floor is packed with illusions and interactive fun for adults and children.

Dont want to post photos to ruin the magic/fun!
Great if you like optical illusions or have children that do! Took a 4 year old and he loved it. There are many interactive exhibits to get involved in.

My friends and I had a fun at Camera Obscura in Edinburgh—what a fun spot! It’s packed with playful illusions and interactive exhibits that kept us laughing and guessing. I can see why it’s such a hit with kids; the hands-on fun, like the mirror maze and vortex tunnel, really brings out the child in everyone.
A fantastic, lighthearted way to spend a couple of hours—highly recommended!"

Surprisingly interesting throughout for the 12 year old and the adult!

It’s definitely something worthwhile doing and is definitely fun entertainment for families. Seemed quite expensive for what was on offer and going on a day even mid week and in term time, it was incredibly busy which left most things feeling rushed.

Very good illusions but from there advertising it does seem that that every illusion your standing in but that’s only two of them the rest are good but you only use your eyes etc , but honestly for how much it worth I’d say it’s not worth unless your fairly well off and also when other people say about prices you say something like we compare our prices to places in Edinburgh but is there even any other places like this in Edinburgh?

Been to something similar in Keswick. Worth a look definitely. Very high steep steps though in main building so would be wary if you have problems with walking. Floor 2 is brilliant with the glass maze and tunnel. Is it a little pricey possible for the time your in there but it's city centre loads of staff on hand so yeah it's probably justified.
